The latest equipment upgrade marks another step in the company’s ongoing efforts to scale operations while maintaining efficiency across its manufacturing footprint.
The newly installed Catbridge 900 Duplex Slitter is now operational at Nobelus’ Elgin, IL, facility. Designed as a high-speed solution, the unit underscores the supplier’s continued growth trajectory and its emphasis on optimizing throughput to meet rising customer demand. The installation reflects a strategic investment aimed at supporting increased volumes across multiple end-use markets.
Catbridge, which recently marked its quarter-century anniversary, is widely recognized within the material conversion sector for its advanced machinery and engineering-driven innovations. The Catbridge 900 Duplex Slitter is an automated slitting machine capable of handling film web widths of up to 84 inches. Operating at a top run speed of 2,500 feet per minute, the system is positioned to play a central role in maximizing productivity as Nobelus continues to broaden its market reach.

To formally introduce the equipment, Nobelus hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, January 30th, to christen the Catbridge 900 Duplex. As the unit comes fully online, the slitter is set to become an integral part of Nobelus’ production workflow.
