OQ, the global energy investment group, is taking part in PLASTINDIA 2026, underscoring its long-standing engagement with the Indian polymers and petrochemicals market. The Group’s participation reflects a sustained focus on industrial collaboration and downstream expansion, reinforcing Oman-India trade and investment ties. This engagement follows the signing of a trade agreement between Oman and India, which has opened new avenues for trade, investment, and broader industrial cooperation.
At the event, OQ is presenting its expanded polymers portfolio, developed in response to rising global demand for durable materials. The rotomoulding grades on display form part of OQ’s largest polyethylene and polypropylene portfolio to date. In total, the portfolio includes 17 application focused grades, selected to support high demand uses across packaging, infrastructure, construction, and durable goods.
Within this offering, OQ’s rotomoulding solutions are positioned for applications such as water tanks and industrial enclosures. Specific grades, including LubanTM LL-R3605UV, are engineered to deliver high-impact strength, environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR), and UV stability. These performance characteristics are designed to support long service life and consistent production, ensuring that end products function reliably under the demanding climatic and operating conditions commonly found across India.
OQ is also continuing to expand its rotomoulding portfolio. A new hexene-based rotomoulding grade is scheduled for launch in Q1 2026 and is intended for more demanding applications that require outstanding mechanical strength and ESCR.
“Rotomoulding is a critical technology for infrastructure applications where durability, consistency and long service life are essential,” said Abdul Rahman Al Tamtami, Vice President Global Marketing at OQ. “By introducing our rotomoulding portfolio to India, we are giving converters access to materials engineered for real operating conditions, whether that is UV exposure, buried installations or long-term mechanical stress, while maintaining stable and reliable processing.”
Beyond rotomoulding, OQ’s broader portfolio includes polypropylene and polyethylene grades used across packaging, storage solutions, pipes, and durable consumer goods. This offering reflects an application focused approach that has been shaped by customer requirements.
The company will also highlight progress under the Ladayn Programme, its polymer-to-product manufacturing ecosystem in Oman. Through this programme, Indian converters are offered opportunities to scale downstream production while accessing regional and international markets.
“India is one of the most important growth markets for polymers globally and our focus is on bringing the right materials for the applications that matter most,” added Sadiq Al Lawati, Managing Director of OQ Marketing. “Our expanded rotomoulding and polypropylene and polyethylene portfolio reflects a deliberate, application led strategy, offering solutions designed for infrastructure, durability and long-term performance.”
In addition, OQ’s participation at PLASTINDIA 2026 will include two Coffee Talks hosted at its stand. These sessions are designed to strengthen engagement with industry stakeholders and will focus on the Ladayn Programme as well as application led polymer solutions for the Indian market. The discussions will feature OQ specialists Azizur Rahman, Technical Development, and Sheikha Al Rahbi, Business Development.
