ePS (eProductivity Software) has introduced CommandCore, a new unified operational system designed to streamline how packaging manufacturers manage complex, multi-layered processes. The CommandCore platform is positioned as a response to long-standing inefficiencies caused by fragmented software environments, where critical functions such as ERP, manufacturing execution, scheduling, and quality management are often handled across disconnected systems. According to the company, this lack of integration has made it difficult for businesses to maintain real-time visibility and respond effectively to rising regulatory and customer demands.

The company highlighted that such fragmented infrastructures โ€œrestrict real time visibility, obscure profitability, slow modernisation efforts, and leave businesses unprepared for accelerating regulatory and customer expectations.โ€ By contrast, CommandCore platform consolidates eight core operational areas into a single database-driven environment. These include ERP foundation capabilities such as estimating, quoting, production management, and costing, alongside manufacturing execution tools that enable real-time shop floor tracking, conversion processes, and resource optimisation. Control systems for machine data capture and process monitoring are also integrated within the same architecture.

Beyond production, the platform extends into operational excellence functions like workflow design, audit trails, and scenario planning, as well as smart scheduling features that incorporate capacity constraints, production optimisation, and KPI tracking. Additional modules address quality and compliance through NCR management, preventive actions, and regulatory reporting. Sustainability is also embedded, covering carbon accounting, environmental compliance, and transparency reporting, while supply chain coordination is supported through customer portals, supplier management, and procurement alignment.

Doug Braun, CEO at ePS, stated: โ€œFor decades, packaging manufacturers have achieved operational excellence despite their software solutions, not because of it.โ€ He added, โ€œTheyโ€™ve been told fragmentation is inevitable and modernisation requires compromise. CommandCore was built to challenge that assumption.โ€ The company emphasised that unlike traditional approaches relying on middleware or layered integrations, the system operates as a single connected framework where data flows continuously from estimation through to accounting.

Craig Tait, CPO at ePS, noted: โ€œOur platform was designed around packaging-native features, and the modular nature was part of that thought process. It provides manufacturers and converters the flexibility to achieve operational excellence in their current and future state.โ€ He further added, โ€œUnified doesnโ€™t mean all at once. Each company has their own timeline, and now, we can truly help throughout their journey.โ€ The platformโ€™s modular structure allows phased adoption, enabling companies to implement capabilities incrementally while maintaining operational continuity.
