Barcelona Packaging Hub consolidates its technological leadership at Interpack 2026 with high-speed, sustainability and artificial intelligence solutions
Barcelona Packaging Hub has successfully concluded its participation in Interpack 2026, held in Düsseldorf, reaffirming its international position as a benchmark in advanced engineering, real sustainability, and complete line solutions for the packaging industry.
During the trade fair, the associate companies presented developments aligned with the sector’s major challenges: high-speed automation, the transition toward monomaterials, integrated artificial intelligence, and digital traceability.
In the field of operational efficiency, Posimat presented a new compact and fully automatic bottle unscrambler that eliminates manual intervention and optimizes performance in confined spaces. Synchropack showcased the comprehensive redesign of its high-end machinery range, prepared to process paper and recyclable materials, featuring ergonomic and safety improvements. Mengibar stood out with a high-precision rotary filler for foamy and viscous products, equipped with a laminar flow system and a 360º CIP hygienic design.
Regarding high-speed solutions, Effytec officially launched the GPIC-HS, capable of reaching up to 200 pouches per minute and ready to work with monomaterials. Volpak presented a hybrid solution that allows for the manufacturing of pouches from reels or pre-made forms, expanding its Fill and Seal family with platforms optimized for the circular economy. INVpack integrated artificial intelligence into packaging machinery through its LUMO assistant and presented the SP12 model for stick packs (up to 750 units per minute) and the MVA4 EVO for four-side seal sachets. TMI exhibited the ILERBAG HF, a high-speed bagging machine for fine granular products in bags made from tubular reels.
In the area of end-of-line and logistics, Movitec presented comprehensive load stabilization solutions within the Mosca Group ecosystem, featuring a complete portfolio of stretch wrappers and strapping machines. Xolertic reinforced its global positioning in complex international projects and announced its strategic entry into the pharmaceutical sector. Meanwhile, United Barcode Systems focused on the transition to 2D codes within the GS1 Sunrise 2027 framework, offering high-quality printing solutions aimed at industrial traceability and digitalization.
The coordinated presence at Interpack 2026 demonstrates the strength of an industrial ecosystem capable of offering end-to-end solutions ranging from processing and packaging to final load securing and digital traceability. The Hub concludes this edition with new international opportunities and a firm commitment to continue driving technological innovation in packaging designed and manufactured in Barcelona.
