SalzburgMilch, a top Austrian dairy company, is introducing products in SIG DomeMini, SIGโ€™s on-the-go carton bottle. The design blends the environmental, protective, and logistical strengths of a carton with the ease of a bottle, offering a practical choice for consumers on the move.

With this launch, SalzburgMilch can offer convenient dairy products to consumers and at the same time open up new co-packing and private label options for brands and retailers. Being centrally located in Europe gives the company an advantage for smooth logistics and wide distribution. The SIG DomeMini packaging is set to appear on European retail shelves by mid-2026, and its eye-catching design should make it stand out in stores.

Andreas Gasteiger, CEO of SalzburgMilch, emphasized: โ€œSalzburgMilch stands for premium quality and innovation thatโ€™s rooted in Austrian tradition. Our close partnership with SIG allows us to pioneer this modern and convenient packaging solution for the European dairy industry and consumers, reflecting our strong commitment to excellence and innovation. Weโ€™re setting a new standard in convenient product experience, while also offering a packaging option with a high share of renewable materials.โ€

The SIG DomeMini offers numerous advantages for consumers, including easy on-the-go drinking because of its centrally positioned large closure, along with simple opening, reclosing, and storage. Designed for UHT products such as specialty milk, protein drinks, plant-based alternatives, and meal replacements, it opens up a broad spectrum of possibilities for new European food and beverage products. The SIG DomeMini 12 Aseptic filling machine can handle up to 12,000 packages an hour and works with seven volume sizes from 180 to 350 ml. Switching between sizes takes just 15 minutes.

Nino Schmid, Key Account Manager Austria & Switzerland at SIG, commented: โ€œWeโ€™re proud that Austria continues to be a hub for innovation โ€“ and that SalzburgMilch is taking a pioneering role as the first company in Europe to adopt our unique packaging solution SIG DomeMini. We truly appreciate their forward-thinking approach and are confident that the eye-catching and convenient SIG DomeMini carton bottle will offer real added value to consumers with a unique combination of convenience, sustainability and shelf appeal.โ€
