Sigma Stretch Film, a division of The Sigma Plastics Group, one of the worldwide industry leaders, and producer of both blown and cast stretch films, invests in the future. Two new Davis-Standard blown stretch film production lines will be in place by the fall of 2024.
The first machine is a 3-Layer blown film line for the Shelbyville, Kentucky location. Supporting the ever-growing demand for prestretched hand films and the Vortex product lines, this equipment will add fifteen million pounds of capacity.
The Belleville, Ontario Sigma Stretch location will receive a Davis-Standard 7-layer Agri Stretch Film Line aimed at expanding the current silage film offerings, landing Sigma in the leaders of technology conversation. The new line allows production using the most advanced resins, expanded exploration in sustainability options, and better service for both domestic and international agricultural customers. Like the Shelbyville line, it too adds fifteen million pounds of silage film capacity in Belleville.
These purchases solidify Sigma’s industry leading position and exemplify its dedication to exceeding customer demands.

Last year Sigma announced the purchase of two new SML cast lines for Belleville, Ontario and Tulsa, Oklahoma. Both machines will enter production in the 3rd quarter of 2023.
