Ranpak Holdings Corp. has expanded its collaboration with Medline Industries to scale automation and sustainable packaging across high-volume distribution operations. The Ranpak and Medline partnership focuses on upgrading end-of-line packaging processes to support efficiency and sustainability goals.
As part of the rollout, Medline has installed Ranpakโs Cutโit!โข EVO right-sizing system and Formโit!โข automated case erector. The systems are designed to modernise outbound packaging by increasing throughput, reducing manual handling, and improving consistency across distribution lines. Cutโit!โข EVO automatically resizes shipping cartons to minimise empty space before sealing, while Formโit!โข produces ready-to-pack corrugated boxes from flat blanks at high speed.
At one Medline distribution centre, four Cutโit!โข EVO systems and five Formโit!โข units have been integrated across four outbound lines. This setup allows the facility to process more than 10,000 cartons per day while maintaining flexibility for future expansion. The changes also reduced the siteโs carton assortment from 18 stock-keeping units to four, while improving labour efficiency by removing repetitive manual tasks.
