MillerCoors has recognized Crown Beverage Packaging Mexico, a business unit of Crown Holdings, Inc., as its 2018 Packaging Materials Supplier of the Year and Packaging Materials Most Valuable Plant. The double-award win signifies a first for Crown, who previously received MillerCoors’ Packaging Materials Supplier of the Year award in 2016. Crown’s facility in Monterrey, Mexico supplies MillerCoors with crowns and aluminum roll-on closures for glass bottles.

Crown has worked in partnership with the Miller and Coors brands for 25 years and remained a strategic resource after the companies merged in 2008. During this time frame, Crown has been recognized by the brands with 19 different awards, in addition to winning the Supplier of the Year award five times.

Crown accepted its awards at a recent ceremony hosted at MillerCoors’ Chicago headquarters. In addition to the Monterrey plant, which manufactures can ends and crowns, Crown operates four beverage can plants and two glass bottle plants in Mexico.
