Eviosys has unveiled its ground-breaking Horizon metal overcap during London Packaging Week.ย This pioneering product aims to transform the packaging landscape by offering a sustainable alternative to plastic overcaps for metal cans.

Horizon boasts remarkable recyclability and a lightweight design, promising to reduce the environmental footprint of packaging materials.

Horizon is setting a new standard in packaging by challenging the dominance of plastic overcaps. These shallow metal overcaps are infinitely recyclable, reducing the need for raw materials.

This innovative approach aligns with the companyโ€™s mission to provide a sustainable solution for the dry food sector.

Horizon offers a visually appealing and eco-conscious solution while maintaining optimal product protection for dry storage essentials. Its customizable design ensures a seamless look for any dry product packed in metal cans.

Furthermore, Horizonโ€™s lightweight nature allows tins to be easily stackable, creating space efficiency in consumersโ€™ homes.

Tackling plastic pollution head-on
According to data from Greenpeace and the British Plastics Federation, a significant portion of the UKโ€™s plastic waste is either incinerated or ends up in landfills.

Eviosys aims to combat this issue with Horizon, a fully metal packaging solution that is 100% recyclable. By doing so, they contribute to the reduction of harmful single-use plastic in the environment.

A recent consumer survey by Eviosys revealed that 81% of Europeans prioritise environmental concerns. Moreover, 74% of respondents consider metal packaging to be a more sustainable choice compared to plastic.

However, these preferences are not yet fully reflected on supermarket shelves.

A step towards environmental responsibility
Environmental organisations like the Environmental Investigation Agency and Greenpeace have highlighted the rising plastic packaging usage by UK supermarkets.

Eviosys responds to the call for more sustainable alternatives with Horizon, which caters to the environmentally conscious preferences of consumers.

โ€œHorizon is the latest example of Eviosys leading the packaging sector with action, not just rhetoric. Our continuous drive to create sustainable packaging solutions through innovation is providing our customers with cheaper, more effective, and sustainable products.โ€

Horizon represents a significant step forward in Eviosysโ€™ ambitious ESG program, Preserve Together, aimed at advancing progress and sustainability in the packaging industry.

Visit Eviosys at London Packaging Week
Eviosys will showcase Horizon, along with its wider range of products, at Stand G30 during this yearโ€™s London Packaging Week. Visitors are invited to explore the innovative solutions that Eviosys is bringing to the packaging industry.

As consumer demand for sustainability grows, Eviosysโ€™ Horizon overcap promises to be a game-changer in the drive toward more eco-friendly packaging options, aligning with the companyโ€™s mission to create a greener future.
