Hubergroup Print Solutions is preparing a global rollout of its Tinkredible MGA metal decoration ink system, designed to deliver high durability, strong print quality, and compliance with international food safety standards. Developed for monobloc and three-piece metal cans, the mineral oil-free, bisphenol A-free, and PFAS-free ink series is positioned to address both regulatory and design requirements in metal packaging applications.
The company states that Tinkredible MGA combines “outstanding print quality, high process stability, and compliance with international food safety standards.” The system will be presented to the industry at Metpack 2026 in Essen, Germany, (May 5–8). Designed as a low-migration ink series, the solution targets demanding production environments where durability and consistent performance are essential. It is suitable for offset printing on metal cans used in F&B and pet food packaging.
Jan Museler, product manager Metal Decoration at Hubergroup, says: “Tinkredible MGA is not a new development, but a proven ink system with a long-standing reputation for quality and reliability. With its global rollout, we are enabling printers and brand owners worldwide to achieve the highest standards of safety, performance, and design excellence.” According to the company, the ink system has been engineered to meet the thermal, mechanical, and regulatory requirements associated with modern food packaging formats.
Hubergroup notes that the solution provides “high flexibility, low yellowing, and excellent resistance to heat and sterilization on coated and uncoated substrates.” Its chemical formulation is designed to enhance resistance against scratches, moisture, and other external influences that can affect packaged products during production and distribution.
The ink series is suited for applications such as tuna cans, where shelf life, regulatory compliance, and consistent print quality are critical. Through the global rollout, Hubergroup aims to expand access to the technology for international customers. The Tinkredible MGA portfolio includes process colors, opaque whites, metallics, and special colors, supported by customized options via the hubergroup mixing system, enabling printers and brand owners to create compliant metal packaging designs that align with production and regulatory requirements.
During Labelexpo Europe 2025, Hubergroup Print Solutions told Packaging Insights that the company is assessing raw materials, including photo initiators, as part of its efforts to develop safe and sustainable solutions that “stand out from the crowd due to smooth handling and high quality.”
