Unilever-owned skin care brand REN Clean Skincare has enlisted UK-based packaging company Pollard Boxes to create an environmentally friendly box for its subscription box collaboration with beauty retailer Lookfantastic.

Containing a selection of miniature REN products to introduce consumers to the brand without having to buy a full-size product, the box is made from 100% recycled Eco Kraft paper, which the brand chose to remain sustainable without compromising on quality, according to Pollard Boxes.

To encourage consumers to reuse the box, the inside lid has been printed with instructions on how they can repurpose the packaging after opening their products.

The box features a colourful finish to create a strong brand identity, which Pollard printed using vegetable-based inks for additional eco-friendliness, and includes shredded Kraft paper inside to protect the products in transit.

To give added value and further engage customers, the pack also utilises Pollard’s smart packaging features, with the lid featuring a QR code which consumers can scan to access an online beauty magazine.
