PPC Flex has acquired the US operations of SUDPACK for an undisclosed amount. The PPC Flex SUDPACK US acquisition is intended to strengthen PPC Flex’s position as a packaging supplier to consumer goods and healthcare markets.

The transaction includes SUDPACK’s manufacturing facility in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, which is located near major meat and cheese production hubs in the United States. PPC Flex said the site adds production capabilities in flexographic printing, converting, and cold seal technology.

By integrating the Oak Creek facility into its existing network, PPC Flex expects to increase overall manufacturing capacity and broaden its technical expertise. The company plans to use the facility’s equipment and resources to develop packaging solutions for speciality protein products and other food categories.

The added capabilities are also expected to support customers in the snack and confectionery sectors, particularly through expanded use of cold seal technology. PPC Flex said the PPC Flex SUDPACK US acquisition will help reduce lead times and improve speed of service across its packaging portfolio.

“We are very pleased to have found in PPC Flex a strong and forward-looking buyer for our US operations. Their strategic vision, innovative strength, and commitment to long-term growth give us full confidence that our facilities and our team are in excellent hands. We are equally glad that PPC Flex, with its large converting footprint, will become a strategic partner for SUDPACK in the United States going forward,” said Thorsten Seehars, CEO of SUDPACK Group.

PPC Flex CEO Kevin Keneally said: “We are thrilled to welcome the SUDPACK US team into the PPC Flex family.

“This acquisition brings us expanded technical capabilities and capacity that will allow us to deliver even more innovative and sustainable solutions across our broad customer base.”

Separately, SUDPACK Medica last week introduced MedHub, a service that enables customers to order standard, pre-manufactured medical packaging pouches via telephone, email, or online channels.
