Zeus Group and Engelmann & Buckham have formed a joint offering aimed at simplifying how UK companies approach packaging automation. The Zeus E&B partnership is focused on combining machinery, consumables, and technical services into a single delivery model.
The arrangement links Zeusโs packaging materials portfolio and national customer base with E&Bโs engineering capability across automation, materials handling, packaging machinery, and end-of-line systems. Together, the companies intend to serve manufacturers, logistics operators, food producers, e-commerce fulfilment centres, and industrial users.
Zeus will take responsibility for commercial engagement, working with customers to understand production workflows, performance gaps, and automation goals. E&B will handle the technical side, including site surveys, process design, machinery selection, system integration, installation, commissioning, and long-term service support.
By consolidating responsibility under one structure, the model is designed to reduce coordination complexity for customers. The approach is intended to improve uptime, lower operational disruption, and better align consumables with machine performance. The Zeus E&B partnership is positioned as a way to deliver consistent output while supporting long-term operational stability.
The companies also plan to introduce alternative purchasing routes, including rent-to-buy and consumables-linked finance options. These structures allow customers to access automation equipment through usage-based agreements, reducing reliance on traditional capital expenditure approvals.
โThis partnership significantly strengthens our automation strategy and enhances the value we deliver to customers. By combining E&Bโs engineering and machinery expertise with Zeusโs national reach, packaging manufacturing and consumables portfolio, we are creating an efficient, competitive & integrated solution for UK clients. This collaboration is a natural next step in helping customers drive efficiency, productivity, reduce costs, and future-proof their operations,โ said Keith Ockenden, Zeus Groupโs UK managing director.
โWe are delighted to be partnering with Zeusโฆ Together, we can provide a seamless, end-to-end approach โ from specifying the right machinery to maintaining it and ensuring optimal performance with the right materials. We look forward to a strong and successful 2026, and to setting high standards for automation solutions across the UK,โ said Iain Buckham, chairman of E&B.
