Gallus Group, a subsidiary of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (HEIDELBERG), will return to LOUPE India 2026, formerly Labelexpo India, from 29 October โ 1 November at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, Delhi NCR.
The exhibition will provide an opportunity for both companies to present technologies, services and application expertise aimed at helping Indian label and packaging converters improve production workflows, maintain reliable output and develop scalable, cost-effective operations. The companies’ participation comes as Indiaโs packaging market continues to expand, supported by urbanization, rising prosperity and increasing consumption of branded products.
According to Smithers (2024) The Future of Package Printing to 2029, India’s packaging market is forecast to grow from the current figure of around US $12 billion to US $20 billion by 2030, with pharmaceutical, food, beverage and e-commerce applications expected to contribute particularly strong growth. This market expansion is creating demand for production technologies that accommodate varying operational requirements, investment priorities and business development stages.
LOUPE Indiaโs expanded scope, which now extends beyond labels to include mid-web flexible packaging, shrink sleeves, pouches, in-line carton converting and smart-label innovations, reflects converters’ efforts to develop capabilities across the wider packaging value chain.
Gallusโ application portfolio covers security and pressure-sensitive labels, tube laminates, in-mold labels, pouches, wraps and shrink sleeves, sachets, and light carton packaging. Samir Patkar, President, HEIDELBERG India, said: โIndia is one of the worldโs most dynamic markets and, for HEIDELBERG and Gallus, one of significant strategic importance. Its growing population, rising prosperity and expanding economy are continuing to drive demand for printed packaging,โ He added: โOur return to LOUPE India with Gallus gives us an important opportunity to meet converters face-to-face, understand their priorities and demonstrate how Gallus and HEIDELBERGโs role as a system integrator for packaging and label as well as an integrated solutions partner can create measurable value across the entire production workflow. Increasingly, converters need more than equipment; they need support integrating technologies, consumables, software, service and application expertise into an efficient production environment that can evolve alongside the business.โ
Dr. David Schmedding, CSO at HEIDELBERG, said: โIndia is becoming an increasingly important growth market for HEIDELBERG and the exhibition presence reflects HEIDELBERGโs wider commitment to supporting customers across India,โ He added: โThe company is strengthening its local sales and service capabilities, investing in demonstration facilities and expanding its partner network to provide solutions tailored to the production requirements, investment priorities and growth ambitions of Indian converters.โ
Together, the companies provide an integrated ecosystem covering conventional, hybrid and digital printing, software, consumables, service and training. This enables converters to work with one partner on technology selection, workflow optimization, application development, operator training and long-term production growth, with the aim of reducing operational complexity while improving productivity and return on investment.
A key exhibit will be the Gallus Screeny Printing Unit, introduced in 2025 and making its Indian debut at the exhibition. The unit brings rotary screen-printing capabilities to narrow-web production environments, regardless of press manufacturer. Its compact, independent design allows integration into different working environments, while mechanical speeds up to 120 meters per minute enable converters to apply high-opacity colors and fine details to labels. Cross-brand integration also supports retrofit strategies and helps protect existing investments.
Uwe Boerner, CSO, Gallus Group, said: โConverters in India are balancing significant growth opportunities with strong cost discipline. They need technologies that deliver efficient, reliable production and a clear return on investment,โ He added: โOur presence at LOUPE India is a clear expression of our long-term commitment to this market and gives us an important opportunity to demonstrate how Gallus and HEIDELBERG can help customers simplify production, control costs and build the capabilities they need to grow.โ
The companiesโ participation highlights their focus on providing label printing technology and integrated production support to Indian converters. LOUPE India 2026 will take place from 29 October to 1 November 2026 at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, Delhi NCR. Gallus and HEIDELBERG will be exhibiting at Booth K14.
