Agilyx majority-owned subsidiary GreenDot has entered into a partnership with osapiens to create an AI-powered Packaging Compliance Software solution aimed at helping companies manage regulatory obligations under extended producer responsibility (EPR) frameworks. The collaboration combines GreenDotโs expertise in EPR compliance, packaging licensing and producer responsibility systems across Europe with the capabilities of the osapiens HUB platform. The resulting solution is intended to provide businesses with a single digital system for managing EPR and Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) reporting requirements across multiple EU markets. As part of the agreement, both companies will jointly market the product and share revenue generated from the platform.
According to Agilyx, GreenDotโs participation in the software venture has the potential to support high-margin growth while complementing its existing operations within the European plastics recycling sector. GreenDot CEO Laurent Auguste said: “Companies are increasingly concerned about the complexity and cost of administering EPR compliance under the PPWR. “Together with osapiens, we are bringing to market the smart digital solution the industry has been calling for โ a simple one-stop shop for EPR reporting across Europe that enables compliance management in a far more cost-effective, efficient, and scalable way.”
The new platform has been designed to automate key compliance processes through AI-supported workflows and supplier tools that can collect, verify and update packaging-related data. It is also expected to connect directly with national registration systems and EPR schemes through pre-built interfaces, reducing the need for manual administration and streamlining reporting activities for producers and brand owners operating in multiple countries.
In addition, the Packaging Compliance Software will calculate compliance obligations in individual European markets and identify the tariff structures applicable in each jurisdiction. Osapiens co-founder and chairman Stefan Wawrzinek commented: “EPR compliance under the PPWR is becoming one of the most complex cross-border challenges for producers and brand owners across Europe. “With GreenDot, we are combining the regulatory depth and market reach this challenge requires with AI-powered platform infrastructure to solve it at scale โ giving companies the solution they need to manage this complexity efficiently and with confidence.”
