Newship Group acquires Coda Plastics in a move that broadens the group’s European packaging capabilities and reinforces its position across rigid plastics, glass and distribution.
The acquisition brings Coda Plastics into a wider multi-material packaging network that Newship has been building across Europe. It gives the privately owned UK group broader operational reach and a more joined-up offer for customers.
Newship Group is bringing Coda Plastics, a long-established rigid plastic packaging manufacturer, into a portfolio that already includes Pont Europe and Beatson Clark. Together, the companies create a platform spanning rigid plastics, glass containers and distribution, giving the group a stronger footing to serve brand owners and manufacturers in several sectors. As Newship Group acquires Coda Plastics, the group is preparing to offer a broader range of packaging solutions supported by its long-term investment model and shared resources.
Coda Plastics will continue operating as an independent business within the group under its current directors and management team. The company has told customers they can expect the same service levels, supply reliability and day-to-day flexibility as the integration progresses.
